Jasper was the perfect town to visit on our vacation. So tranquil and picture perfect!
Even though tourist season was over, there was still plenty to do in town! We only had one full day in town so we made the most of it. We were really looking forward to going on the Jasper Skytram but it had closed just days before!
We had to pack pretty light so I am bundled up again in my newest Joe Fresh Puffer Jacket & Faux Fur Circle Scarf from Indigo! First stop was to plan out our day. We picked up some maps & info from the Jasper Information Centre & were on our way!
The Jasper Fire Hall had the cutest CN Rail display train so we had to take some pictures here. Trains are very important to Jasper as this was a large industry that helped establish the town & created a multitude of jobs.
Next, we made our way to Maligne Canyon. The short drive (approx 20 minutes) from downtown Jasper was full of scenery & we even saw multiple animals on the drive! This hike was like a choose-your-own adventure. There was several trails you could take depending on how long you wanted to hike. This was a beautiful way to enjoy the scenery in Jasper & it was free! I would highly recommend to spend at least an hour hiking here! Fall is the perfect time to visit because there was a lot of crunchy leaves & nice colour contrast.
We paused, of course, to take more photos. I love a good phone booth photo!
After the hike, we were famished so we drove out to the Fairmont Jasper Park lodge. We had decided not to stay at this hotel so we thought lunch was a perfect opportunity to see the grounds. It was picturesque & provided a great view while we drank cappuccinos & split nachos.
Here are some animal pictures!
Are any of you heading on vacation soon?
